Lynchburg 'GLAM' Group
Are you a staff member, volunteer, or trustee at a gallery, library, archive, or museum in the Lynchburg area? Then Lynchburg GLAM is your group!
We are an informal group that meets four times a year to learn about similar institutions in the region. Membership is free to anyone affiliated with a GLAM institution. The purpose of our group is to connect with each other across the GLAM profession and learn about the services, collections, and projects at area institutions.
Members take turns hosting short tours or presentations, followed by time for socialization and networking over simple refreshments. Recent GLAM hosts have included Campbell County Historic Courthouse Museum, Silent Witnesses, Legacy Museum, Old City Cemetery, Historic Sandusky, the Knight-Capron Library at the University of Lynchburg, Blackwell Press, the Jerry Falwell Library at Liberty University, Patrick Henry’s Red Hill, the American Civil War Museum at Appomattox, and Jones Memorial Library.
